On August 19, 2020, Deputy Governor Chen Yulu of the People’s Bank of China attended the 25th Executives’ Meeting of East Asia-Pacific Central Banks (EMEAP) Governors’ Meeting held in the form of virtual conference. Attendees exchanged views on the global and regional economic and financial developments amid the Covid-19 pandemic, discussed policy responses of central banks and potential capital outflow and credit risks in the banking sector, and reviewed reports by EMEAP working groups.
